2000 Election Protest
Continues Winding It's Way
Through the Swinomish Tribal CourtToday at 10a.m. in the Swinomish Tribal Court, lawyers presented oral arguments before the presiding judge in a case which has been creeping along slowly since June 19th of this year. We will shortly be presenting a summary of todays proceedings but felt it necessary to get this information out as quickly as possible to all interested parties.
In an effort to inform the public, and hopefully put pressure on all parties concerned to end this travesty, freeSwinomish has decided to post copies of just ONE element of the "complaint" brought before the Swinomish Tribal Court concerning the 2000 Tribal Election Protest by defeated candidates Jim Wilbur and Lorraine (Wilbur) Loomis. This document is known as the "January Complaint and Petition" but for brevity we will refer to it as the "January Petition."
This document, and this document alone, should have been more than sufficient to throw out the court case. {In our opinion not only that, but also get Wilbur Attorney Mr. Stiltner disbarred for violating his Oath of Admission to the Tribal Bar[See Oath of Tribal Bar, noting #'s 5 & 6](if not slapped with contempt and any other charges applicable) BUT ALSO suffice to slap a fraud charge upon both complaintants.} It is our hope that publication of this travesty will perhaps lead to the above actions by the Tribal Court Judge presiding over the case. Short of that, the public, and especially the members of the Swinomish Tribe deserve to see this document for themselves. As we earlier stated, this case came to court initially June 19, 2000 and continues to drag along. It needs to stop.
For now, we are posting page 14....and page 14....(there are two after all!!) and it is kind of hard not to notice this fact. To avoid confusion we will call the first page fourteen 14a, and the second page fourteen 14b. We will add the rest of this sham soon.
One does not need to be an expert on the subject to spot the clear work of forgery on the signature page (see p. 14b) nor does one need to be an expert in the law to realize that this document was NOT created by an attorney (at least not a competent attorney.) But you don't need to take our word for it, check it out yourself by clicking the items below. We have included two snapshots of the pair of page 14's complete with our notes in red.
